If Blues Clues is your preschooler's favorite show on TV, that's your first clue to organizing a fun themed party with plenty of Blues Clues party supplies. Blue loves a party and her best friend Joe always has lots of ideas to make parties special. You can too, with Blues Clues party supplies available online or you can 'think, think, think' and make your own.
Blue's Clue fans know how much she loves to get mail. So will your little guests if in the mail is a personalized, Blues Clues birthday invitation. It's as simple as cutting out 3x5 cards from heavy stock paper or using recipe sized cards. On one side, draw or stamp a big, blue paw print and write "here's your first clue. Now, you know what to do !" On the other side, use colorful markers or stamps to write out the birthday party details.
Blue loves it when Joe and all her friends throw her a party and so will your child. The color scheme should be blue and white, naturally, with plenty of balloons, streamers and table ware. Again, draw Blue's paw print with a blue marker on everything, or if you have a rubber stamp, stamp paw prints along the outside rim of plain white paper plates. Do the same on white Styrofoam or paper cups as well as a white paper tablecloth. If you have a Blues Clues stuffed toy, tie helium balloons to the paws and use it as a centerpiece.
For an extra, special touch, make Joe's house out of a very large box. You can probably get one from an appliance store, along with some extra pieces to make a roof. Paint it red and orange and let the kids have fun. Party favors, Blue's style can be a breeze to create with a little ingenuity and taking a clue from activities she and Joe like to do best.
Handy dandy notebooks can be had by visiting your local dollar store and picking up some small notebooks for each guest. Ask each child to sit in their "Thinking Chair" and decorate their notebooks using stickers, markers, ribbons and bits of fabric. Pail and Shovel are two of Blue's favorite back yard friends. The dollar store is a great resource. Buy a pail and shovel for each guest and draw character faces on them with an indelible marker.
Blue's ears can be great Blues Clue party supplies. These can be made very easily out of blue felt. Trace long, doggie-type ears on blue felt, cut them out and staple, sew or glue them to a white hat with a peak, such as a ball cap or painter's hat. Use red felt to cut out a little tongue and draw Blue's face on the hat.
Blue's dog cookies: We mean people cookies, of course! Using your favorite sugar cookie recipe, cut dog paw shapes out of the rolled dough, bake and decorate with blue icing. All it takes is a little bit of work, some creative Blues Clue party supplies and you'll have created a party your child will remember forever.
