Going up and talking to a woman is not an easy thing for a shy guy. There are a lot of things that shy guys should know about, before trying to go out and start dating. Here are just a few things that could help you come out and get into the dating scene.

Being shy is not always a bad thing. Sometimes men are even able to use being shy as an advantage to get a woman, by listening more than they talk. This is a good trait to have so that you are able to hear and understand everything she says.

Being too quiet however can cost you dearly. Some woman think when a man is to quiet that they really aren't interested in the things that they are saying. So you have to draw yourself a fine line there and make sure that you quiet enough to listen, but not to quite to care.

Make sure that the conversation is going both ways and there is not too much awkward silence. Just try and be involved in the conversation at the appropriate times and in the correct way.

As we said before starting conversations is key to because it makes you seem interesting. One thing when starting a conversation is choosing the right topic to start one on. A good one to start it on would be current events. One to stay away from is politics.

You should never talk about things you do not know about unless you inform your date of this and maybe she can teach you something. No one can be up to date on everything anyway.

Pushing yourself outside of your limits a bit is not a bad thing. Doing this sometimes can help you become less shy and more confident. However, there is a big difference between going outside of the box, and acting like someone your not. You have glaring hole being stared right through you when you do this.
