Tuesday June 1st Alice and Wonderland is Coming to DVD. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Mia Wasikowska as Alice all star in this movie. This was originally a book by Lewis Carroll and a classic Disney film that has been influenced by the mind of Tim Burton. This movie has a great plot, it is perfect for children, and it is a definite must for the DVD collection.
The bright colors throughout the various backgrounds and the talking animals in the movie will hold children's interests the entire time. For many girls they get a chance to place themselves in Alice's place and become a strong female that gets to go on an adventure of a lifetime. For boys they get a chance to see imaginative violence and creatures that are conjured only from the mind of Carroll, Disney, and Burton. Truly it's an adventure for the whole family along with lots of literary references that the entire family can gain from.
The plot seems to pick up were the original animated version from Disney leave off and since Alice has first entered Wonderland as a little girl. For adults, it's a chance to relieve their childhood because they get to see all the original characters return from the original. The plot of the movie is about Alice remembering her first trip to Wonderland and trying to save Wonderland from the rule of the wicked Red Queen.
This is modern Burton twist on a classical Disney story. If you need a DVD that is sure to delve you into your imagination, this is definitely one for you. With its mixture of elements for children and adults, the whole family will find this movie to be a treat.
