An amateur photographer has a difficult time deciding which camera to buy, the Nikon D90 or the upcoming Nikon D5000? The former has already wowed many photographers with its superb features. But many claim that the D5000 would be better.
Here is the dilemma of the torn photographer: What would you do if you were me, get the D90 now or wait till May 1st for the D5000? Read on to know what other enthusiasts say about this camera:
Clouised: The D90 is definitely the better camera. It is worth grabbing before it pushes the price up. Actually, quite frighteningly the price of the D90 is going up fast.
hockey2009: If the D5000 sells at $800, I think that the D90 features will give you better value for your money. Additionally, the D90 has the sub command dial feature, which is very important particularly when you shoot manually.
Mark Jacobs: The D5000 has an entry-level camera feel to it while the D90 looks like it is meant for more serious photography enthusiasts. The D5000 is only about $200 cheaper compared to the D90. Considering the price and specs, the D90 is a better camera for a bit more dollars.
Skatterball: The screen alone is a major plus on the D90 - 3" 920, hi-def video. ?Nuff said.
Happypup: The Nikon D5000 is an upcoming camera, so many people are all hyped up about this baby. If you need to buy a DSLR now, I suggest you get the Nikon D90. But if you do not need one at the moment. Wait a bit and know when the camera comes out, check if there are problems, and make a wise decision a month after the release of the camera.
Puss in Boots: I got my beautiful D90 a month ago. Reading the D5000 features, I am happy I bought the D90. I really love the commander mode, in-camera focus motor, hi-res LCD, etc.
