Liar Liar - Fletcher Reede is a hard working attorney who is all the time disappointing his wonderful little son. Ultimately, before blowing out the candles at his birthday, Max makes his wish. He requests his father to not be able to lie for one whole day. The results are certainly riotous.

MGM's The Big Parade of Comedy - Fifty of the best megastars of all time emerge in this collection, however too concisely. Cast includes Laurel and Hardy, Keaton, Gable, Robert BencWey, Jean Harlow, and Malion Davies, (90 minutes, 1964)

Each Dawn I Die - Journalist Cagney is framed, and sent to the penitentiary where he meets a dangerous inmate, Raft. There is exceptional acting all around. Cagney hits a white-hot peak with his part, however the last half of film gets to be outrageously improbable. Music score composed by Max Steiner. Cast includes James Cagney, George Raft, George Bancroft, Jane Bryan, Maxie Rosenbloom, Stanley Ridges, Louis Jean Heydt, Abner Biberman, John Wray, Victor Jory, and Thurston Chamber. (92 minutes, 1939)

No Man of Her Own - Pompous production based on Cornell Woolrich story of Helen Ferguson (Stanwyck) assuming another's identity and becoming part of a fmaily. Later in the movie she is being blackmailed by her ex-boyfriend. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, John Lund, Jane Cowl, Phyllis Thaxter, and Richard Denning. (98 minutes, 1950)

The Believer - Brutal appraisal of a young Jewish man in N.Y.C. who decides to become a neo-Nazi skinhead. He struggles with the conflict between his beliefs and his heritage. Gosling gives a stellar performance as the young Jewish man which is loosely based on a true story. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell, Glenn Fitzgerald and Ronald Guttman. (98 minutes, 2002)

The General - One of Keaton's greatest silent motion pictures, setting comedy contrary to real Civil Battle story of a stolen train, and Union spies. Not as whimsical as other Keaton films, even if brilliantly finished. Cast includes Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley, and Joseph Keaton. (100 minutes, 1984)

Red Sun - East meets West in this bizarre account of a samurai fighter chasing a invaluable Japanese sword stolen from a train crossing the American West. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Ursula Andress, Toshiro Mifune, Alain Delon, and Capucine. (112 minutes, 1972)

The Sea Hawk - Top of the line amalgamation with Flynn at his streaking best in venture on the high oceans. The film has a vigorous balance of piracy, romance, and swordplay, handsomely shot, and orchestrated with exciting Erich Wolfgang Komgold score. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Pours, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson, Alan Hale, Henry Daniell, Una O'Connor, Gilbert Roland, and Edgar Buchanan. (127 minutes, 1940)
